Jen Vieth Mommy-Moves! Instructor
 | | American Council on Exercise Group Exercise instructor
|
Jen went to Fairfield University where she skied downhill/slalom, taught step aerobics classes |
| | and studied for her Accounting degree. Upon graduation, she entered the financial field at Merrill Lynch in downtown Manhattan. The high stress environment proved to drain much of her positive energy. She combated this by joining her firm’s gym. As a fitness student, Jen learned the positive role that exercise plays in maintaining the precious work vs family balance.
When Andrew was born on October 15, 2004, she decided that her family would play a more central role in her life. Jen continued to work for Merrill, but on a part-time basis from her home office. While only working 20 hours a week, this still proved to be a challenge; trying to find the balance between work and family. Again, exercise proved to be the focus that gave Jen her foundation to do both a bit of work and play. To keep her sane, she competed on a recreational level Sprint Triathlons, while continuing participating in her love of running, and step aerobics. When William was born on August 10, 2007, she decided 2 boys needed her more than Merrill, so she resigned. It was through a ‘Free class’ coupon that Jen met the acquaintance of Lori and Mary. A couple of months later, Jen passed her American Council on Fitness (ACE) exam for Group Fitness Instruction to become a Mommy-Moves Instructor.
Jane McLoughlin Mommy-Moves! Instructor
 | | National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer
|
Jane graduated from Marist College with a BA in Communications. She spent ten years |
| | working in the Fashion Industry for designers such as Tommy Hilfiger and Michael Kors. Although a fun and exciting industry, it can leave you drained. As a way to refuel, she relied on running, yoga, and early morning gym sessions. As the stress of work wore on, her interest in making her passion a career grew. After training and running her first marathon in New York, she knew she had to make a change.
Before up and quitting her day job, she became a certified Spin instructor and began teaching evening classes at an independent gym in Brooklyn. She soon knew this was the direction she wanted to move. She researched certifications and found the National Academy of Sports Medicine to offer the education she sought to become a trainer. After many hours of study she was able to quit her day job! She began training at NYSC in Chelsea, and after she and her husband moved to Red Bank continued training at the Atlantic Club.
Jane just had her first baby on February 29, 2008. While pregnant, another Mommy-Moves! trainer, Mary, introduced her to the program. Now with the experiences of pregnancy, and the trials of a c-section to add to her "education," she feels she can offer even more to our Mom's. Jane is excited to share her energy to stay fit and healthy with each of you.
